Anna Lawrence

Anna Brinckerhoff Lawrence (1733 - 1770), daughter of Isaac Brinckerhoff (1699 - 1745) and Diana Garradine (1707 - 1749), was born 6 May 1733 at Flushing, Queens, New York; she died 18 May 1770 at Newtown, Queens, New York. She married William Lawrence on 14 May 1752 at Elmhurst, Queens, New York. Her sister was Sarah Brinkerhoff (1683 - 1738).

Marriage and Children

Although all of these children are attributed to William and Anna Lawrence, it is extremely unlikely that they named two living sons John. Either the first one had died before the birth of the second son named John, or one of the Johns actually belongs to another family and was either adopted by the Lawrences (probably a nephew), or was mistakenly attributed to them and should not appear in a list of their children. Further research is needed to clarify.
