About Anna Marie Lund
Anna Marie Sorenson Larson, daugher of Lar Sorensen and Mette Marie Hansen was born 29 May 1811, in Vinge, Skanderborg, Denmark.
Paul Didrick Soltoff Lund and Anna Marie Larsen were married 12 August 1845, in Denmark, probably Biersted, Aalborg, Denmark.
She may have been married before to Nicolai Sorensen Hjorring on 14 Jun 1836. By this union two children were born, a boy named Soren and a girl named Anna.
Supposedly, they both drowned prior to Anna Marie marrying Paul Lund.
On 27 Sep 1852, she was baptized and confirmed in Denmark. They moved to Aalborg, Denmark, and began their life together. Three sons came to bless their home in Biersted: Lars Peter, born 7 Feb 1845; Nicolai Christian, born 10 Jun 1847; and Marinus, born 7 May 1849.
During some Indian trouble in the area, the family traveled to Ephraim, Utah. While there another son, Joseph Parley, was born on 7 Feb 1855. This made four sons for the Lund Family. When the Indian troubles were settled they moved back to Spring City.
Anna Marie Lund's husband, Paul died 6 Jan 1902 in the old home in Spring City, the same house he built when they first came to America.
After her husband died she only lived 11 months. Part of this time was spent in Pleasant Grove, Utah, with her son, Lewis Peter, and daughter-in-law, Susan McArthur Lund. She became homesick and was taken back to her old home where her son, Marinus, and children cared for her. She died peacefully and without suffering on 1 Feb 1903, at the age of 92 in Spring City, Sanpete County, Utah.
