• Anna Manwaring was born circa 1559 at of Caringham, Cheshire, England. She married Peter Daniels, Esq., son of Thomas Daniels, Esq. and Alice Dutton, in 1574. Anna Manwaring married Thomas Ashold, Parson of Swetenham after 3 August 1590.2 Anna Manwaring died on 29 July 1633.

• The Daniells had been established at Over Tabley since the end of the thirteenth century and had long been active in county affairs.11 Daniell’s father died in 1590 and his wardship was purchased by his mother, who ensured that he received a traditional gentleman’s education at Oxford and Gray’s Inn.
