About Anna Maria Lenz Kutzer

When Anna Maria Egerer was born on 2 September 1803, her father, Johann Wenzl Egerer, was 27, and her mother, Eva Rosina Egerer, was 26. She married Franz Anton Lenz 29 Jul 1823 in Rojau, Bohemia, Austria and they had two children together. After his death, she then married Norbert Albert Kutzer on 7 Feb 1831 • Rojau, Bohemia, Austria and they had nine children together. Late in life, they emigrated arriving in the New York port on 21 Aug 1856. to the USA to join her first son, Raymond, and her son and daughter Anton and Barbara, who emigrated together in 1855. She died in 1879 in Wisconsin, USA, having lived a long life of 76 years.

Anna Maria Egerer was a German Bohemian; her ethnic German ancestors moved to Bohemia and records show Egerer farmers there before 1600. She spoke a German dialect distinctive to the area. Her village was on the western edge of the Kingdom of Bohemia, in a mountainous region near the border of today's Germany. Raymond was her surviving child from her first marriage; from her second marriage three children reached adulthood.
