Anna-Marie Potgieter (1966 - 2007)
Brief overview:
Capt Anna-Marie (39), a detective at the unit concerned with domestic violence, child protection and sexual crimes on the East Rand, was murdered on 17 January 2007 at a friend's farm near Vereeniging. Her body was only found the next day under a pile of corrugated iron sheets .
Capt. Anna-Marie Potgieter was involved in an arbitration case with the police for three years to be promoted. Two weeks after she was killed, she was promoted to superintendent.
