Mrs. Anna Johnson Dies at Age of 89

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lake Johnson, 89, who died at her home in Balkan at 1 a.m. last Saturday, after a long illness, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Chisholm Community church with Rev. Milma Lappala Erkkila officiating. Burial was made in the Chisholm cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Finland November 1, 1852, and came from there to Chisholm in 1903. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alex Pyykala in Finland, and two sons, Gust Lake of Balkan, and Otto Lake of Chisholm. There are also eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
