On January 30, 1876, Anna Lena Bjorkman gave birth to Alma Sofia Bjorkman in Fassberg, Sweden. When Anna Lena Bjorkman came to North America on 10-7-1887, Alma Sofia stayed in Sweden with her grandparents, and stayed with them until they passed away. Alma Sofia arrived in North America July 2, 1913, and was accompanied by Jenny Bjorkman, age 11, and Hanna Bjorkman, age 5, presumably her daughters. The ship's manifest shows that Uncle A. Bjorkman paid their passage of Fifty Dollars each and that their destination was Iron Mountain, MI.
