About Anna Rezac
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Rezac, who passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 26, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Svoboda, following a short illness, were held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 11:15 at the Immaculate Conception Church at Lonsdale. The Rev. Monsignor George J. Zickovsky of St. Paul, a nephew of Mrs. Rezac, officiated at the services. The Wake was at the Smisek and Rezac Funeral Chapel at Lonsdale. Grandsons who served as pallbearers include: Joseph Rezac, Jr., Michael Rezac, Vernon Rezac, Kenneth Rezac of Webster, Clarence Rezac of Lonsdale and Gary Sticha of New Prague. Members of the Rosary Society of the Immaculate Conception Church attended the services in a group. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery at Lonsdale. Mrs Anna Rezac was born Oct. 11, 1885, at Veseli, the daughter of Albert Smisek, Sr. and Elizabeth Pacek Smisek. On Feb. 14, 1905, she was united in marriage to Joseph J. Rezac at the Most Holy Trinity Church at Veseli. They lived on a farm in Webster Township until their retirement about 22 years ago, when they moved to Lonsdale. Mrs. Rezac is survived by: five sons, William, Roman and Edward of Webster, Joseph F. and Ben of Lonsdale; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Svoboda of Lonsdale and Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Sticha of New Prague; three brothers, James, Leon and Ben of Lonsdale; a sister; Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Pexa) of Faribault; 28 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph J. Rezac; a son, George; her parents; four brothers, Albert, Michael, Frank and Joseph Smisek and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Ziskovsky.
