Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 at Mary of Immaculate Conception Church in Rockville, MN for Anna Schlangen, age 85, who died at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. The Christian Women, Catholic Aid Association and Knights of Columbus will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.
Anna was born in Farming, MN to Joseph and Mary (Holthaus) Kunstleben. She married Clem Schlangen on September 27, 1943 in St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Farming, MN. The couple farmed near Rockville all their life. Anna was a member of Mary of Immaculate Conception Parish, Christian Women and the Catholic Aid Association.
Survivors include her children, Herbert (Joanne), Jerry (Joyce) of Cold Spring and Marilyn (Dennis) Reitmeier of Richmond; brother, Claude Knustleben of New Munich; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem (September 7, 2002), and sister, Eleanor Fuchs.
