Anna Mae Sechrist, 84, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services - Kingston Court. She was the wife of the late Glenn F. Sechrist. Anna Mae was born in Hellam Township on December 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Raymond F. Leiphart, Sr. and Elvier Amanda (Kohler) Leiphart. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Yorkana and it's Heart and Hands Fellowship along with the United Methodist Women. Anna Mae was a 1946 graduate of Wrightsville High School. Mrs. Sechrist is survived by a son, John A. Sechrist of Wrightsville; four daughters, Glenda R. Kelly and husband David, Donna J. Brenneman and husband Stewart, Diane L. Buser and husband Bob all of York, and Nancy J. Hines and husband Paul of Columbia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three sisters, Dorothy Witmer and husband Kenneth of Dover, Eva Crawford of Red Lion, and Norma Doll of York; and a brother, Donald Leiphart and wife Elaine of York. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Leiphart, Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Sechrist. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Christ United Methodist Church, 5 Main St., Yorkana. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Douglas Eberly and her former pastor, Rev. Forest "Bud" Bish. Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
