Anna Vance Stafford is a warm and loving person and has always been interested in our Vance Family History. She is a living dictionary of our ancestors, anunst, uncles, and cousins and tells many interesting stories about them.
In 1933 she worked in the Reliance Garment Factory and stayed there three years. In 1933 she made fifty cents a day. When she brought home her first paycheck of $7.50 she bought a chinchilla coat for her 7 year old daughter. During WW II she worked in a paracghute factory as foreman of packing parachutes,. She worked as a Red Cross Volunteeer Hospital Aide for over 200 hours. She worked as a practical nurse for 10 years.
