Anna Estelle Ure-Self

SELF Anna Estelle Ure Self, 92, of Orange Park, formerly of Clearwater, passed away peacefully at home. She was predeceased by her husband Erwin B. Self, sons David Vernon Self and Robert Allan Self. She is survived by her daughter Deborah A. Chandler (Thomas R. Jr.) of Doctors Inlet, grandchildren Thomas R. Chandler III (Andrea), Swansboro, NC, Autumn Chandler Caparros (Joseph), St. Augustine, great grandchildren Coleton Joseph and Maegan Jewell Lancaster both of St. Augustine, Paul Caparros, Selden, NY and Brandy Stewart Dingley, Rockledge, FL. She worked in the advertising industry in NY, was an administrative assistant to the Dean of Jacksonville University and was on the staff of the Arlington YMCA. As the wife of a US Customs Port Director she lived in many port cities including NY, Miami, Jacksonville and Tampa and resided in London while her husband worked at the US Embassy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a toy be donated to the Marine Toys for Tots Drive, a contribution to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or the Caboodle Ranch, sanctuary for abandoned cats, PO Box 299, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32004. The family is organizing a memorial service to be scheduled in January. She was interred at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
