- In those sparsely settled mountains Anna soon became homesick and ill. On March 4, 1843 John wrote in this Bible 'Our baby died today'. John buried the little child near the house. In October 1843 their seventh child, Barbara was born. On July 30, 1844 John with a broken heart wrote in this family Bible 'Mother died today'. He buried Anna, age 34years, in the same plot with her child. Years later John Generous and his sons, including Joshua B.
