  • Mary (Butler) Washington's grand mother, Anne (Bayneham) Butler married second, Alexander Webster, and after his death, Anne married Joseph BAYLEY. Anne Bayneham Butler-Webster-Bayley specifically mentions in her Will (1729) her grandson, BAILEY WASHINGTON. Bailey Washington was more than likely named for Anne's husband Joseph Bayley. http://genforum.genealogy.com/washington/messages/895.html
