About Anne Campbell
Anne Whitfield was the daughter of Major Walter Whitfield.1 She and Archibald Campbell, 3rd Duke of Argyll obtained a marriage license on 19 January 1712/13.1 She died on 1 September 1723 at Kensington, London, England, without issue.1 She was buried on 7 September 1723 at Kensington, London, England.1
As a result of her marriage, Anne Whitfield was styled as Countess of Ilay on 19 January 1712/13. From 19 January 1712/13, her married name became Campbell.
