Anne Preston is the daughter of Sir John Preston, 1st Bt.2 She married Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt., son of Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Clifton, in 1662.1

And the Manor and Abbey of Furness.1 She was Lancashire (d unm).1 Westmorland.1 Her married name became Gerard. She lived Preston Patrick and Nether Levens.1

From the book " The Baronetage of England," printed for John Stockdale, published 1806: Sir William Gerard married first Anne, the daughter of Sir John Preston, Baronet. They had 4 sons and 6 daughters. -- William, John, Thomas, and Francis and Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Bridget, Frances, and Winifred All the sons except William had no issue. All the daughters except Anne died unmarried. He married secondly Mary, sister of Sir Edward Mostyn, Baronet. They had no chldren.
