Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt. is the son of Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Clifton.2 He married Anne Preston, daughter of Sir John Preston, 1st Bt., in 1662.1 He married Mary Mostyn on 16 April 1702.1

Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa April 1681.1

From the book " The Baronetage of England," printed for John Stockdale, published 1806: Sir William Gerard married first Anne, the daughter of Sir John Preston, Baronet. They had 4 sons and 6 daughters. -- William, John, Thomas, and Francis and Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Bridget, Frances, and Winifred All the sons except William had no issue. All the daughters except Anne died unmarried. He married secondly Mary, sister of Sir Edward Mostyn, Baronet. They had no chldren.
