Anne Hook

Biography

Anne French was the daughter of Edward French and Mary Winsley of Salisbury, Mass. She was baptized in Salisbury in December 1705, and married there on 12 Jan 1726/7 to Josiah Hook, the son of William Hook and Mary Follansby of Salisbury. She died on 21 Dec 1770 and was buried in the Salisbury Colonial Burying Ground, Tombstone #26 next to her husband Josiah Hook, Tombstone #25.

Anne had a sister, Elisabeth French, who married Josiah’s brother Jacob Hook on 14 January 17219/20.

Josiah Hook had nine children with his wife Anne French, whose births were recorded in Salisbury:
