About Anne Margaret Hutchison
Obituary: HUTCHISON, Anne Margaret - It is with great sadness but also in celebration of a long life well lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Anne Hutchison at Rideaucrest Home on July 20th, 2017.
A proud Scot born in 1921 in Dundee where she met her beloved husband Tom (predeceased) at the University of St. Andrews. As adventurous newlyweds they immigrated to Canada and to RMC in 1950. A passionate environmentalist, birder, and Kingston Field Naturalist, Anne became the first Secretary/Treasurer of the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority and later a founding member of its foundation.
She is survived by her loving children Janet Murray (Graham) and Gavin (Hilda Thompson), grandchildren, Sarah (Leon), Diana (Scott), David (Tristan), Ross, and Alison (Billy), and great grandsons Aidan, Liam, Ethan, and Colin.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers from Paramed, Rideaucrest, and those directly employed for their compassionate care of our mother.
There will be a celebration of life to be announced later. Arrangements entrusted with James Reid funeral home, Kingston.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cataraqui Conservation Foundation in Anne's memory would be appreciated by the family.
