Anne Duffy Campbell a prominent New Jersey Democrat, a 15-year member of the executive committee of the Democratic National Committee. Died of Heart failure at 50 yrs old in New York City, NY.

Born Anne Marie Duffy in Brownsville, Texas, she moved to Shrewsbury, New Jersey as a teenager, she graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and attended Monmouth College in West Long Branch. She and her husband George, a Stockbroker, and their three children lived in Fair Haven and in Shrewsbury for several years.

She began her lengthy political career in 1972 when she became Monmouth County Coordinator for the George McGovern presidential campaign. Anne Campbell became was vice -chairwoman of the Democratic State Committee, she was the first woman president of The Association of Democratic State Chairmen, served as chairwoman of the rules and bylaws committee of the Democratic National Committee, and was the executive officer of the 1992 Democratic 1992 Convention in New York. She was a senior political adviser for President Clinton's inaugural ceremonies. She was also a senior partner and owner of Campbell, Falk and Selvy, a public affairs and lobbying firm in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Democratic National Committee since 1973 and of the executive committee since 1980. She suffered from Lupus and cancer in addition to heart trouble.






Anne Marie Campbell (Duffy) was born on June 13, 1944, in Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas. Her parents were William Francis Duffy and Rosamond Champion Duffy (Jackson).

Anne married George William Campbell.
