ANNE HALLOWELL GARDINER RICHARDS (born at Boston 5 December 1807 and died at Paris, France 25 April 1878) was the second daughter of the first Robert Hallowell Gardiner (1782-1864) for whom the city of Gardiner, Maine is named. She entered her favorite poetry into two bound volumes which is found in Record Group 35. The general contents of Record Group 35 pertain to her family, including a manuscript copy of her father's autobiography which is labelled "The Benjamin Hallowell family" and which was later published in revised form by the family in 1930 under the title Early Recollections of Robert Hallowell Gardiner. She was the mother of Henry Richards (1949-1949).
