About Annie Decker
Anna/Annie Trumbour was my great-great grandmother. He exact birthdate is not entirely certain, but I believe it is 24 Oct 1888, based off of New Jersey birth records.
Anna was an accomplished violinist. He father, a wealthy man, sent her and her sister Eulalia to a conservatory in New York to learn how to instruments. Anna played the violin, while Eulalia played the piano. Currently, Anna's violin is owned by her Watt descendants.
Anna married Frank Decker in Jan 1914 in Butler, NJ, according to her grandson, John Watt.
Anna died during the Influenza Epidemic of 1918. At the time of her death, she was carrying a stillborn son. Both died 8 Nov 1918. Anna was buried in the Catholic cemetery in Butler (Mt. Calvary). However, her stillborn son (Patrick), was barred from being buried in the Catholic cemetery, as he had not been baptized. This caused great sadness in the Trumbour and Decker families. In the end, Frank secretly buried Patrick at the edge of Mt. Calvary, which is where he rests to this day.
