A stockbroker, he would co-found the Manila Stock Exchange (MSE) in 1927 (the MSE merged with the Makati Stock Exchange in 1992 to form today's Philippine Stock Exchange). He had his own brokerage firm, the Anselmo Trinidad & Co. He was vice president of the Board of Governors of the MSE by 1947; he would be its president from 1949 to 1967. He was also known for his extensive art collection. A 1924 UP graduate (with a degree in Commerce), he co-founded the U.P. Business Research Foundation, Inc. in 1971 to help fund the UP College of Business (now known as UP's Virata School of Business. He also co-founded Bank of Commerce.
