</b>António Fernandes Furtado, from the Northeast, or from Faial da Terra? Must be the son of Pedro Roiz de Ponta Garça and a daughter of Fernão Gil, and Isabel Roiz Furtado. He was godfather in Faial da Terra on 26.4.1578, baptism of Braz, son of João Homem and Maria Gonçalves, and in Agua Retorta he was also godfather there on 27.3.1588 of António, son of António Fagundo and Maria Pires. Frutuoso Refers to this António Fernandes Furtado in § XXI of Chapter VIII of Liv IV.
