I. Jacob Wismer, (...) was born in Germany about 1684, and died in Bedminster Township, Bucks Co., Pa., Feb. 4, 1787 in his one hundred and third year.

The children of Jacob and Nanny Wismer, as near in the order of birth as could be placed were: ---Jacob, Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Henry, Mark, Daniel, John, Christian, Nanny, Abraham.
II. Jacob Wismer,* bn. in Bucks Co., Pa., about 1721. Mrd. Margaret ---. The dates of death of himself and wife are not known. He received his portion of his father's estate in 1783. Lived in Plumstead Twp. at what is known as the burnt mill, where he followed the occupation of miller. Children: Abraham, Isaac, Anna, Mary, Elizabeth, Jacob, Mary, Barbara, Hannah, Margaret.
III. Margaret Wismer, bn. June 4, 1768; died July 23, 1822. Mrd. Anthony Fretz, Apr. 16, 1795. He was bn. Feb. 1, 1774; died Jan. 26, 1856. He mrd. second wife a Quaker lady. He lived on a farm of 60 acres at the "Old Burnt Mill," in Plumstead Twp. Farmer and miller. Children: Samuel, Anna, Mary, Mark, Elizabeth, Joseph, Catharine.
IV. Samuel Fretz, bn. Jan. 17, 1796. Mrd. Elizabeth Fretz in 1824. Miller. In 1832 they moved to Clinton, N. J. from whence 17 years later they moved to Medina Co., O. where he died, Apr. 6, 1852. Sawyer. Children: Lewis, Anthony, Christian, Mahlon, Anna.
V. Anthony Fretz, bn. in Bucks Co., Pa., Jan. 5, 1829. Mrd. Emily Hosmer in 1855. She died soon after, leaving one child—Ida. Anthony mrd. second wife Hannah A. Crawford, Sept. 19, 1863. One child: Clair. Mr. Fretz was formerly in partnership with his brother Lewis, as farmer, sawyer and builder. At the outbreaking of the war he enlisted in the 12th Ill. V. I. as musician. He enlisted a second time in 166 O. N. G. as principal musician, and received from President Lincoln a certificate of honorable service. P. O., Wooster, O. Presbyterian elder.
