LATHAM -- Anthony J. Maiello, 76, of Taft Avenue, Latham, died Thursday after being stricken at his residence. Born in Green Island, son of the late John and Gabrielle Bocci Maiello, he has resided in Latham for the last 47 years. Mr. Maiello served in the US Army during World War II. A musician, Mr. Maiello performed with the Tony Maiello Trio for many years. He later worked at the G. E. Training Center as a custodian for 26 years, retiring in 1994. He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham and a member of the Colonie Elks and the Troy Musicians Union, Local #13. Survivors include his wife, Adelaide SanFelice Maiello; a son, Anthony Maiello, Jr. of Norwich, NY; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Clark of Albany, Mrs. Henry (Adelaide) Nirsberger of Clifton Park, Mrs. Earl (Kathleen) LaMay of Ravena, Patricia Selee of Guilderland and Mrs. David (Angela) Tribley of Rotterdam; three sisters, Mrs. Salvatore (Dorothy) Ruotolo of Menands, Mrs. Leon (Fran) Laraway of Colonie and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Bondi of Latham; his step-mother, Anna Maiello of Colorado; two step-brothers, Antonio Maiello of Latham and Albert Maiello of Waterford; a step-sister, Ida Willig of Colorado; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr. Maiello was predeceased by his brother, Louis Maiello.
