Laraway, Frances "Fran" Maiello COLONIE Frances "Fran" Maiello Laraway, beloved wife of the late Leon "Larry" Laraway, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Green Island, daughter of the late John and Gabrielle Bocci Maiello, she resided there until moving to Colonie in 1986. A homemaker, she was a communicant of the former St. Joseph's Church in Green Island until its closing in 2010. Fran loved to play Bingo and was an avid and longtime bowler at the Green Island Lanes, having been a member of several leagues over the years. She is the loving mother of Joanne (Bob) Lajeunesse, John (Kathleen) Laraway and Maryanne (late Tom) Martin; devoted grandmother of Cindy Lajeunesse, Stephanie Laraway, Samantha (Evan) Davis and Michael and Lisa Martin; great- grandmother of Nolan Davis; dear sister of the late Anthony (wife Adelaide survives) Maiello, Louis Maiello, Dorothy Ruotolo, and Mary Bondi; stepsister of Antonio Maiello, Ida Willig and Albert (Pat) Maiello. Funeral services will be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Ave., Green Island on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Colonie. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Fran may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY, 12204.
