Anthony West, Sr.

Anthony West, at whose house Mary Scarburgh was living when she died in 1691, was both her grandson (through his mother, Matilda Scarburgh West) and the grandson of Anne Huffe West Charlton (through his father, John West).

Everybody gets *two* grandmothers, unless their parents are siblings. And these were most definitely two different women.

Family

Anthony West (1663 - 1717), son of John West and Matilda Scarburgh, married Elizabeth Rowles, daughter of John Rowles I and Jane (of John) Major, circa 1690.3,4
