About Antonio V. de Veyra
He saw action in WW2 from 1941 to 1942, being a member of the Headquarters Battalion of the 4th Infantry, 2nd Regular Division (Philippine Army). After the war, he served as the provincial commander of Zamboanga. He led the 2nd Battalion Combat Team when it was undergoing training in Camp Marikorea before its deployment to Korea between 1953 and 1955. All units of the Philippine Expeditionary Forces to Korea (PEFTOK) trained in Marikina City before their deployment; unit members thus named Marikina "Camp Marikorea".
He served as Vice Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) from May 1962 to December 1964.
