Antonio de Padua Sayo was the fifth of eight children of Juan Sayo Hernández and Agustina Margarita de Jesús. He was baptized by Ignacio de Gracia, and his godfather at the time of his baptism was Domingo de la Cruz. He was a cabeza de barangay in Salapungan, Quingua (present-day Plaridel), Bulacan, notably in the 1750’s. He was one of the deputies of confraternity in Quingua (present-day Plaridel), Bulacan from 1776 to 1793. His burial register is missing in Quingua (present-day Plaridel), Bulacan.
