About Appu Nair Thunoli
Appu Nair was born at Pazayangadi, Cannanore Dist in the Thunoli Family.He passed his SSLC & took up an Asst.Station Masters job at Trichur, which he was forced to resign & abscond due to the objection of his family members to some alliance he had made there.Later he left to Rangoon (Burma) to take up the Accountant's job at the A.G,s Office. Returned back to India in the early 40's & was running the family business Thunoli Oil Mills at Cannanore. He had an elder brother Thunoli Kannan Nair & many younger sisters. His youngest brother was Thunoli Raman Nair , who was a revolutionary who had an official harijan wife apart from the normal one in those days. He was a prolific reader of English novels & good at English Grammar.His favourite novel was "The Vicar of Wakefield" written by the Irish writer " Oliver Goldsmith". He could quote every line of the novel from his memory.
