Oxf., B.A. 1854 ; joined 90th Regt. 1855 ; Major-Gen. 1887 ; served in the Indian Mutiny (present at relief and capture of Lucknow) : in the Kaffir War, 1878-9 ; in the Zulu War, 1880 (2 medals and 3 clasps) ; of Lamer, Wheathampstead, Herts.; J.P. Berks, and Herts. (High Sheriff, 1901); assumed the additional name of Garrard, 1892; C.B. DIED Nov. 8th, 1907.
