ARCHIBALD CHIRNSIDE OF OVER POSSILL

Archibald Chirnside of Over Possill is the son of William Chirnside. His father is called the Rector of Luss in a charter dated 27 April 1576. Colquhoun II: 192 He is noticed as the servant of Walter, prior of Blantyre on 18 March 1597 NRS: RH6/3455 and on 8 May 1613, after his decease, as Archibald Chirnside of Over Possill.
