About Archibald Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, Earl of Ava

Archibald James Leofric Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, Earl of Ava (28 July 1863–11 January 1900), was a lieutenant in the 17th Lancers and a fellow of the Royal Colonial Institute. He was a war correspondent in South Africa during the Second Boer War and was wounded at Waggon Hill during the Siege of Ladysmith. Lord Ava died a week later. He was unmarried.
