Archibald Johnston was born in Kirkpatrick Juxta, Dumfriesshire [1]

Archibald Johnstoun married Rachell Arnot before 15 May 1577 when Archibald was admitted a burgess and guild brother of Edinburgh on 15 May 1577 by right of his wife Rachell eldest daughter of the deceased John Arnot burgess and guild brother.[2]

Archibald Johnestoun died before 28 April 1619 when his will was confirmed in Edinburgh Commissary Court.[3]
