28 February 1568-69: Charter by Robert Lyndesay of Dunrod in favour of John Lyndesay, his brother german, and Christian Lyndesay, daughter of John Lyndesay of Corrintoun and spouse of granter's said brother, and the longer liver of them in conjunct fee, and the heirs to be begotten betwixt them, whom failing, the heirs to be begotten of his said brother's body, whom failing, Archibald Lyndesay, also brother german of the granter, and the heirs of his body, whom failing, to return to the granter and his heirs whomsoever, of an annual rent of 20 merks Scots furth of granter's £5 lands of Corsbasket, in the barony of Hammiltoun and sheriffdom of Lanark. To be held 'de me', for 1d Scots in name of blench ferm. 13 September 1569: Charter by James Sandilandis Lord of Torphichine to Robert Lindesay of Dunrod of the templar lands of Grenend in Crukestoun in the Lordship of Derby, Sheriffdom of Renfrew, and Regality of Torphichine to be held in free blench, for yearly payment of 8 pence Scots. his Charter containing precept of Sasine to Robert Roiss of Thornetoun baillies is signed and sealed at Torphichine before these witnesses Alexander Lindesay of Lynbank, Archibald Lindesay brother german of the said Robert Lindesay etc. National Records of Scotland, Papers of Lord Torphichen, reference GD119/47
