Archibald McAfee was a farmer and blacksmith; he established the Camp Creek Iron Works in Greene County, Tennessee.
"The old McAfee home was just below Mt Tabor Cemetery. Archibald McAfee give the land on which the present church and cemetery are located. The first church was an old log church and known as the Old McAfee Church. Mary Magdelene McAfee was the first person buried int the cemetery. According to lore a dove would fly down from a tree on the hill and coo near her window. After her death...some stories say she drowned...her parents buried her close to the tree.
