About Ardis Hanson
rdis E. Hanson, 90, of Chetek died on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Knapp Haven Nursing Home.
Ardis was born on September 20, 1916, in Dallas, Wis., the daughter of Knute and Gurina (Birkeland) Jacobson. She married Raymond E. Hanson on August 26, 1941, in Dallas. She was a dedicated member of Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek. She loved people and enjoyed serving others — but most of all, her God.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Mary) Hanson of Sand Creek and Larry (Teri) Hanson of Medford; three daughters, Ruth (Russ) Osterberg of Alexandria, Minn., Barbara (David) Raymond of Minneapolis, Minn., and Eunice (Bob) Dewey of Chetek; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and myriad nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; and 12 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek, with Pastor Barb Koch officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sand Creek.
