According to George Boros, Arisztid was always an impeccable gentleman.

According to Bill Gara, his mother (Maria Gara), Arisztid was incredibly intelligent and talented – as a little boy, he beat all the senior (high school) students in his school in the chess championship which he won. He also challenged people to name any place (no matter how little) in this atlas that he had, and he could tell you exactly where they were in the world – he never missed.
