Funeral service for Mrs. Arlevia Tapley McCain, 84, of Cragford, will be Monday, September 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Clay County. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Mrs. McCain will lie instate at the church for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCain passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at her residence. She was born on February 15, 1927 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Gaines Tapley and Kate Worthy Tapley. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved being involved with her church activities, especially singing. She also enjoyed gardening and yard work, quilting, and spending much time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Sadler (Danny) of New Site, Marilyn Kerr (Bobby) of Ashland and Sharilyn Nolen (Bob) of Daviston; granddaughters, Autunm Nolen of Daviston, Randi Sadler of Anniston and Holly Williams (Chris) of New Site; grandson, Tony Kerr (Misti)of Ashland; great grandson, Trace Jones of New Site; sister, Laverne Hartley of Dadeville; and brothers J.W. Tapley of Notasulga and Lamar Tapley of Dadeville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug McCain; parents; sister, Geraldine Minor; brothers, Thurston Tapley, Carson Tapley, Edward Tapley, Gene Tapley and S.J. Tapley.
