Returned to England with his father and stepmother when he was 13 years old and Lived in Islington St Matthew Essex Road 1901 Died while on leave during the WW1 with influenza DM2/224531 1124th M.T Coy R.A.S.C. appointed act corp with pay 30/8/1917 remembered in War Graves Commission Memorial in Kensal Green (St Mary's Catholic Cemetery) where he and Agnes are also buried with Antonio grave no 154C The WWI military enrolment papers records No 224931 Those dated 17th Sep 1916 he signed that he was 36 years of age. for the Army Service Corps. Posted to Isleworth.10/10/1916 This shows he had also done 2 years service as a volunteer soldier. Said to be 5'5" tall 37" chest.and 131 lbs 'Deemed to be English' served 2 yrs and 198 days became act.corporal. Posted to Canterbury. His personal possessions were returned to Agnes on 24/11/1919 The funeral invoice says he was 32 years old when he died should read 39. Letter regarding his correct place of birth in records Mother died and he was not registered but returned to Belgium with Father therefore accepted as an Belgium alien in the forces of french parents This is known to be a lie inb order to obtain a pension for Agnes Maureen Faucheux has a copy of his birth certificate. He attended Catholic schools in Leicester Sq and Wood Green London. The funeral cost 20 pounds and had a hearse coach and pair and 3 other carriages and pairs The casket was lined with swansdown and had ornate brass handles and decorations and an enscription plate. BMD details also says died aged 32 years.
