Mrs. Armanta Von D. Light, 82, of Ottawa, mother of Dr. W. B. Light, 926 W. Market-st, died at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Light was found ill early Monday by Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Kruse who reside in an adjoining duplex apartment on E. May-st in Ottawa. She was removed to St. Rita's hospital. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born in Ft. Wayne, Ind., Dec. 23, 1866, Mrs. Light recently marked her 82nd birthday. She was married to Dr. Frank Light, physician in Ottawa for many years. Dr. Light died Sept. 29, 1933. Mrs. Light was a member of the Centennial Book club, the Thrift club, and the Presbyterian church in Ottawa.
Surviving besides her son in Lima are two other sons, Robert F., New York City, and James B., Bryson City, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret S. McAllister, Champaign, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Louise Montonna, Syracuse, N.Y.; and a brother, James K. Bartholomew, Chicago. A son, Frank B., two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
The body will remain at the Pope funeral home in Ottawa for services at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. James Willoughby of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Lima Woodlawn cemetery.
