Arnold "Arnie" Braaten, 74, of Everett, died June 2, 2002 in his home. Arnie was born December 6, 1927 in Wolf Point, MT. He married Norma on June 10, 1948, in Kalispell, MT. Arnie was a salesman for Carolina Shoe Co. in North Carolina, Oliver Hammer Clothing in Sedro Woolley, WA, and Sam's Western Wear in Everett. He retired August of 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Braaten of Everett; sons, Gordon (Jan) Braaten of Everett and Gary Braaten of Missoula, MT; daughter, Helen Braaten of Arlington; sisters, Olga Rhodes of Kalispell, MT, Gladys Baker of Glendive, MT, Helen Bates of Sommers, MT, Alice (John) Christensen of Kalispell, MT, and Mary (Joe) Schrock of Seattle; brothers, Merle "Bud" Braaten of Wolf Point, MT, and Henry (Margaret) Braaten of Kalispell, MT; many nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren. Special thanks to Everett Clinic Center for Cancer Care, Providence Everett Medical Center Colby Campus, Providence Hospice & Home Care, and all his many, many friends.
Viewing will be 4-6:30pm Tues, June 4, 2002 at the home of Leonard and Helen Aylesworth, 6023 83rd Ave. NE, Marysville. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Sunnyside Elementary in Marysville. Burial at Glacier Memorial Cemetery, Kalispell, MT.
