BIOGRAPHY: In 1130, Arnold Glattfelder witnessed a deed and in 1157 John Glattfelder was a member of the Council of Knights. The ancient castle of the family was located at Thengen on the river Glatt, in Canton Zurich, Switzerland, near the village of Glattfelden. Calvin Reformed church at this place registers marriage of Adam Glattfelder and Verena Legi 29 Jul 1570.
