"Jack"

Jack was always happy go lucky and did everything mother told him to do. He took over the farm when Dad died in 1953, at 16 years old. He drove the car and the tractor. He brought his whole paycheck home to Madeah, as he was the only provider at that time for the family. He did so with a smile and never looked back on what he was missing out on. He just stepped up and did not complain.

Can you imagine a sixteen year old child having that much responsibility today? There was ten children and our mother to support, and Jack did without hesitation, provide for his family until his accident with the tractor. He was the oldest son and his family was his world, and Jack was ours!
