About Arthur Alford, I
The Alford Association contends that Arthur was born circa 1750. As profile manager and direct descendent of Arthur and Clarky Sarvis Alford, I have known my grandmother speak that Arthur was much older than Clarky. She also noted that Arthur had served in the Revolutionary War in some capacity with Clarky's father John Sarvis, but I have found no evidence of it. SFG
Arthur Alford was the son of William Alford and Sukey Alford. He was the first husband of Clarky Sarvis Alford Smith. Together they had 8 children (named in attached will):
Levi Nelson Alford
Arthur Alford II
Mehaley Ludlam
Eliza Alford
Warren Tress Alford
Unity Alford
Meredith Alford
