About Arthur Beaty
Arthur Beaty was born in 1665 in County Craven, Ireland. During his lifetime, Arthur Beaty held extensive landholdings. He married Martha Cairnes in 1704. She was the niece of laird Caines of Claremont, County Tyrone, who was renowned for his defense of Derry, Ireland in 1689, during its siege by the forces of James II. By 1688, Derby had become the stronghold of the Protestants of the North of Ireland. Their daughter, Elizabeth Beaty, was born in 1706. Arthur Beaty died on December 11, 1741 in Cavan County, Ireland.
