About Arthur Augustus Haserick
Twin brother of Alfred Ernest HASERICK
Arthur Augustus joined his father's company of Atkinson, Haserick, and Co., 152 Congress St., Boston (USA), importers of textile machinery and Egyptian cotton in Boston as a partner. On November 18, 1886, in Boston (USA), he married the opera singer Alice Wesselhoeft (title figure of the "Diva" in the novel "The Doctor and the Diva" by Adrienne McDonnell). They were divorced in 1907. He lived in Boston until 1912 when he returned to London, where he lived in Mayfair and was a Fellow of the London Zoological Society. He died in 1937 in London (in 140 Park Lane).
