About Frederick Wesselhoeft Haserick
Arthur Augustus’ first son Frederick Wesselhoeft Haserick (1888-1954) bears the last name of his mother (and by this of her famous German ancestors) as his middle name. When his parents divorced and his father decided to return to England — while his mother proceeded to pursue her career as an opera singer in Italy —- he stayed at boarding school in the US. Frederick later joined the (British) Royal Air Force (1918/19), became a Cotton Broker (as his father) in Boston (USA), and then a Farmer, Horse breeder in Virginia (USA). Himself a wealthy man, he married in 1924 Jane Caroline Wilbur (nee Forbes), the widow of William Fitch Wilbur (H.O. Wilbur Chocolate Company, "Wilbur Chocolate Buds"), who had three children from the previous marriage.
No children came from this marriage.
