Arthur Ronald Barton Oram Sheppard

Advice has been received that Mr. Arthur Ronald Barton Oram Sheppard, Jun.., at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, died on June 27 at the Peter Bent Bingham Hos- pital, Andover, Massachusetts, aged 23 years Mr. Sheppard was born at Ashdeld,, and was the son of John and Hylda Oram Sheppard, of Hong Kong, China. Mr Sheppard's father Is the general agent for the Pacific Mall Steamship Company. He attended 'Bishop Brent's school In the Philippine Islands and Andover Academy before going to the Insti- tute of Technology, where he was active In college affairs, being a member of the Theta Delta Chi fraternity. Funeral services were held at the Church of Our Saviour, Longwood, at which Rev. Remsen Ogilby, D.D., presi- dent of Trinity Collego, Hartford, officiated.

Sheppard entered the Institute with the Class of 1925, and has continued with this class during his three years here. He was a member of the Treasury staff of THE TECH, holding the position of Assistant Treasurer. He was Captain of the freshman wrestling team, and worked with the Varsity team later on. His death occurred in June, due to blood poisoning.
